The Rencontres de la Photographie de Marrakech (RPM), organized by the Voix Plurielles association in partnership with Cultures Nomades Production, have rapidly gained significance and popularity among photography enthusiasts since their inception in 2016. RPM has established itself as an essential international photography event in Morocco, aiming to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on contemporary creation by collaborating with esteemed Moroccan cultural entities.

In 2022, the event attracted prominent photographers, showcasing impressive emerging talents. RPM seeks to be at the forefront of evolving image practices, exploring new artistic approaches and technologies while providing the public with an immersive visual experience. The festival interprets a changing world through photography, engaging young artists, students, and emerging professionals.

In 2024, the Open Call, promoted by partner Picter, received remarkable interest, with over 750 submissions from more than 600 photographers, totaling over 12,100 images. This edition of the festival, designated the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2024, will feature nearly 80 artists and aims to strengthen relationships within the photography profession, enhance discussions around selected themes, and raise public awareness of the image.
